How do Invisalign Braces work?
Invisalign is a set of clear removable aligners that can straighten teeth and improve your smile without using traditional braces. The aligners add slight pressure to your teeth to move them into the ideal alignment.
Aligners are very comfortable and almost invisible. Invisalign use “attachments” as pressure points to move teeth.
These attachments are tooth coloured and are not very noticeable. You can remove the aligners to eat and drink and for oral hygiene purposes.
What is the difference between Invisalign and Metal Braces?
Invisalign Braces are barely noticeable, allowing you to smile confidently throughout your treatment.
Traditional braces use metal brackets and wires that are more visible and patients can become self conscious. The Invisalign clear braces are smooth aligners which are comfortable without any sharp edges that can irritate the inside of your mouth.
Invisalign Clear Braces are removable, which means you can eat any food you’d like and you can brush and floss your teeth just as you usually would. Traditional Metal braces can limit the types of foods you can eat and make brushing and flossing more challenging due to the presence of wires and brackets. Invisalign Clear Braces can be removed to allow you to brush your teeth and can also be removed for eating.

Do Invisalign Braces hurt?
Invisalign Braces can cause some temporary aching or discomfort every time you get a new Invisalign aligner tray because the aligner will be applying some light pressure to your teeth to move them into the desired position. It is NOT Painful. The discomfort only lasts a couple of days.
